Hot dogs and champagne. It’s an unusual marriage of grunge dining and fancy flutes, but its one that goes down very, very well.
You can find Bubbledogs restaurant 2 minutes from Goodge Street underground in London. By 1pm its packed, so be sure to get a table just before the lunchtime rush hour.
Tuesday to Saturday
11:30-4 • 5:30-11
On the menu
Sample beef, pork or veggie hot dogs with a side helping of sweet potato curly fries. On offer are toppings that include sour cream, salsa, chilli con carne and thick melted cheese. It’s all for the taking and seriously delicious washed down with a few bottles of bubbly.
We went on budget with the cheapest bottle at £35, a pink refreshing number, but then we went up a few bob to £38 with Varnier-Fannière, Grand Cru, Brut and found our first choice to be more preferable.
A great place to catchup with old friends or celebrate a birthday bash.
