My absence on Voice Travel has been well and truly justified by weekends spent eating, drinking and hiking around beautiful Sydney.
This means I’ve fallen upon new restaurants, bars, parks and coastal paths that I’ll share with you! If you’re looking for a new Friday night watering hole, or to sample a Sunday stroll among the most turquoise sea you’ve ever seen, then read on…
Here is the first review to help you explore this awesome city…
Let’s begin with the slightly obnoxious,
This place has a lot of space indoors with two large floors, the first catering largely to eateries, long circular bars and communal tables to socialise in. The other hosting bands and the dancing area for when you are more tipperly dooderly!
The real treat with the Beresford, aside from it being the only bar in Surry Hills that stays open past midnight, is the courtyard outside (pictured).
It’s a little bit charming with trees taking over a brick a brac courtyard and glowing lamps warming up the atmosphere. The Bersesford can become packed on a weekend, so get there before 9pm to avoid queues.
5 pm – 7pm with $5 cider, spirits, beer and wine…worth checking out. Friday night expect an older, suited crowd with a bit of eye balling, but we wouldn’t dismiss a man in a suit, not at happy hour. Enjoy!
